Almoradi itself has a fantastic market every saturday where you can buy local produce - giant peppers, spring onions, oranges, lemons and a huge variety of food, fruits and vegetables. There is also jewellery, clothes, furniture and leather items.

So if you have had enough of a relaxing time on the rooftop in the pool or jacuzzi, Almoradi is a beautiful town to stroll around, pick an orange from atree growing in the street, pop in to one of its many bars for some tapas, a coffee or something stronger! There are some 'english' bars but even in the more spanish owned ones you will find people who talk english, a good way to learn! There are a few other shops and supermarkets in the town centre and an Aldis as well.

About a 15 minute drive is Guardamar, a beach that stretches for miles, free parking and you can easily find a good, quiet spot on the beach, the Medittaranean is lovely here for swimming. take a walk out to the wall that seperates the sea from the river estuary where you can find local fisherman on both sides. The river Segura flows from here to the mountains.
